Canceled ZombiU 2 Game Would Have Had Co-op

This past weekend, Nintendo Everything released a story revealing that the canceled ZombiU 2 game would have introduced cooperative gameplay. According to a recent podcast featuring Liam Robertson, a small team of 5-10 staffers started working on the game in 2013 before Ubisoft canceled it.

Robertson added that the developers had some very ambitious plans for the game and that both co-op and melee weapons were on the to do list. Unfortunately, Ubisoft decided that Wii U players weren’t ready to embrace mature rated games and therefore decided to shut down the project immediately afterward.

While I personally never got a chance to play ZombiU, I was at least happy to see the Wii U getting some type of third-party support. Now that this sequel is a thing of the past, it will be interesting to see if Nintendo can get third-party support from some other developers. Perhaps we will find out more details on this topic at an upcoming Nintendo Direct.

Did any of you ever get a chance to play ZombiU ? If so, please feel free to let us know what you thought of the game in the comments section below.
