Have you seen some weird excuses to try and get extra money from people in games? I’m sure you have. Companies tend to go out of their way to get extra cash. But Valve’s done something really out there. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is getting gloves. There are Glove Cases in the game now. (Which is really a missed opportunity, because they should have been Glove Boxes.)
CS:GO’ s Glove Cases have 24 pairs of gloves as Special Items. Get a Glove Case and open it up? You might have a new pair of gloves for your character to wear. I know it’s getting to be winter and it’s cold outside, but that’s a bit much. It joins the game alongside new Steam Group Lobbies, which help you find lobbies made up of people from Steam Groups you’ve joined who also happen to be playing CS:GO at the time. There’s also a Radicals Box with StatTrak Music Kits with songs from Beartooth, Blitz Kids, Hundredth, Neck Deep, Roam, Skog, and Twin Atlantic.
This is probably one of the most ridiculous customization options for any game. Does anyone really pay that close attention to their character? It’s like horse armor. I hope there aren’t too many people buying these in the Community Marketplace .
