As reported by PS3 News on Monday, August 25, Jamie Cheng, the co-founder of Don’t Starve developer Klei, has announced that Don’t Starve: Giant Edition will be coming to Sony’s PlayStation Vita on Tuesday, September 2.
The PlayStation Vita release of the game will cost $14.99, or you regional equivalent, and it’ll include the base game of Don’t Starve and it’s “ Reign of Giants ” expansion, which usually costs $4.99. It’ll also include new characters, seasons, biomes, and other challenges, too.
Because a lot of code had to be purposely optimized and rewritten, the PlayStation Vita of Don’t Stave: Giant Edition will not be cross-playable with the PlayStation 4 version of the game. However, even though you won’t be able to transfer your saves between the two platforms, if you already own Don’t Starve on the PlayStation 4 you’ll receive the PlayStation Vita version for free, and vise versa.

Reign of Giants Key Features
New playable characters: Reign of Giants adds two characters for players to discover and survive with. Don’t Starve’s Reign of Giants expansion is now available on the PlayStation 4 for $4.99 (or your regional equivalent) on the PlayStation Network. What’s more, PlayStation Plus members will receive a 10 percent launch discount.
