#DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition Postponed Indefinitely

#DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition Postponed Indefinitely

#DRIVECLUB , Sony’s racing game answer to Microsoft’s Forza franchise, has unfortunately come out to some trouble. Its online capabilities are shaky at best, making its primary function (i.e. the club part of #DRIVECLUB) less than accessible. The game has been updated several times but to no avail. This has caused Sony Entertainment Worldwide Studios head Shuhei Yoshida to issue a formal apology. In that apology, he noted that the PlayStation Plus Edition of the game will be postponed until further notice.

The PlayStation Plus edition of #DRIVECLUB was meant to provide a large sampling of cars and tracks for #DRIVECLUB , which could then be upgraded to the full version for a $45 expenditure. However, the current trial version of #DRIVECLUB just isn’t performing up to expectations, especially not enough to warrant pushing forward with the PlayStation Plus version.

“We are also very conscious that we have disappointed so many of you who were looking forward to playing the promised PS Plus Edition,” Yoshida said. “Our first priority is to provide you with the best possible experience while playing DriveClub . With the high volume of new players and additional server load the PS Plus Edition is anticipated to bring, we are currently not confident that we can guarantee the best online experience. Until we can ensure that everyone can enjoy the full social connected online experience, we will be postponing the release of the PS Plus Edition until further notice.”
