E3 2016: Final Fantasy XV Shows Off Not-Venice, Flying Cars

E3 2016: Final Fantasy XV Shows Off Not-Venice, Flying Cars

I’ll be honest – Final Fantasy XV has not had a very good E3 showing thus far. The gameplay segment at Microsoft’s press conference was frankly embarrassing. I don’t know if it was the player or if technical issues were involved, but it was being played so poorly that I kept yelling, “Warp! Warp!” at the screen. Then there’s the Final Fantasy XV VR demo out on the floor, which sounds like it’s pretty much been a flop.

Having managed to get at least a small taste of the strong points of Final Fantasy XV from the end of its last demo, though, I’m still choosing to believe that this is a marketing / PR failure rather than a problem with the game itself. So let’s take a moment to sift the gold out of the pile of chocobo turds, shall we?

During its Japanese-language E3 stream earlier today, Final Fantasy XV ‘s developers showed off two actually-cool trailers. One of them features the Venice-inspired city of Altissia, while the other shows off the flying car that we saw briefly at the end of this spring’s press conference. Apparently you’ll want to land it carefully, because a poor landing will cause your party to whine and / or mock your mercilessly.  Check out these trailers below!
