Electronic Arts announced a new fantasy online RTS where you assemble your own army with collectible trading cards. The game will be initially released as a PC exclusive and is being created by EA Phenomic. BattleForge is expected to ship sometime in Fall 2008 and has not been rated by the ESRB yet. According to the press release, the virtual trading card element will have gamers trading and buying cards online in order “to create your ultimate deck.” Players will “mix and match the elements” of cards and direct and conquer massive armies all online in virtual battlegrounds.
