Well, we knew Sony wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to showcase the PS4 Pro during the Tokyo Game Show. Japanese gaming outlet Game Spark has posted a report giving impressions from multiple demos shown off on Sony’s upgraded console. The reporter (Tomomi Yamamura) got to see some new gameplay footage from games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7, Uncharted 4, and Final Fantasy XV, all running on a PS4 Pro. Final Fantasy , apparently, was the most impressive of the bunch.
According to Yamamura-san, the PS4 Pro version of Final Fantasy XV alone lives up to fans expectations. She noted that textures got a pretty big upgrade, which was especially apparent in the environment and vegetation. She also stated the the frame rate held steady and unwavering – something I’m hoping the team can pull off in the regular PS4 and Xbox One versions as well, even if we have to dial back the image quality a bit. We’ll find out when the game launches on November 29.
