Here’s the thing about GOG. It’s a distributor that makes a lot of old gaming memories come back to life again. The company goes out of its way to make sure the games it sells, no matter how old, will run on current operating systems. And it seems that it’s been hard at work ensuring that continues after Windows 10 launches.
Microsoft is going to release Windows 10 on July 29, 2015, and GOG has issued an update saying the company has been working to ensure games will be compatible with the operating system at launch. Its website has been updated to note that the QA team has been working to test every game in their library is working on Windows 10. It says that some games are actually running better on 10 than XP, and that it hopes the switch goes well.
There’s also a notice that some patches will be needed to ensure GOG games compatibility with Windows 10. These will be available through GOG Galaxy and the official site when available, in the hopes people will be able to play without any gaps.
