Grand Theft Auto V Announced

None

If you’re jonesing for some more open world, mission-based gameplay with a massive side order of felony, we have some good news for you.

Today, Rockstar Games has confirmed that Grant Theft Auto V does, in fact, exist. There have been rumors about a new GTA game as early as June, calling for a 2012 release and offering up any number of possible locations for rampant criminal carnage to take place in.

We don’t know a whole lot about the game yet. Officially, there has been no information released about characters, setting, platforms, release date, or anything else for that matter. Certain rumors surrounding Rockstar casting calls has suggested that the game may go back to San Andreas, but this is all just speculation at this point.

Michael Pachter, star of the GT show Pach Attack and Wedbush Securities analyst, said that he estimates the game has cost over eighty million dollars to make. He also predicted that the game will sell over eighteen million units . Grand Theft Auto IV sold 21.5 million units worldwide, so GTA V has some big shoes to fill.
