Pre-ordered digital copies of Grand Theft Auto V will be up for preload (early access) through the European PlayStation Network and Xbox Live come Monday, September 16th, at 3PM, a day before the game’s official release, a tweet on Rockstar’s official account confirmed. However, North American gamers aren’t quite as lucky; the same tweet revealed that the game wouldn’t be available in the States until 3AM on the 17th. European orders were originally slated for preload access from today, September 13th, onward but were delayed just weeks ago. The delay has been attributed to the scandalous content leak that GTA V saw in August through Europe’s PlayStation Store, though no official details have been disclosed on the matter. Funnily enough, more GTA V media has been leaked in the days leading up the announcement.
