Though gamers have learned to live with a little in-game advertising , sometimes it can be a little overzealous (Madden 11, anyone?). However, the era of the in-game advertisements may be coming to an end as EA’s Ben Cousin’s has recently revealed that, “We actually aren’t getting much from ad revenue at all.”
![]() Instead of putting more in-game advertisements, it seems the folks at EA are looking towards the micro-transactions model for additional revenue, as it has proven to be quite successful in the free-to-play title Battlefield Heroes. |
