Jason’s Next Friday the 13th Victims Are Switch Owners

Jason lives! Friday the 13th: The Game isn’t as dead as some might expect. While there was some legal trouble , the title is finding its way to a whole new platform. In Spring 2019, it will make its Nintendo Switch debut. It also seems like this will be close to being an “ultimate” edition of the game.

Here’s why. Friday the 13th: The Game on the Nintendo Switch will include almost everything, whether you buy it digitally or physically. All of the kill packs for Jason are there. The emote pack is packed in. Even the two counselor clothing packs will be in there. Only the two Backerkit/Kickstarter-exclusive bits of content, won’t be in the game, which means no Savini Jason skin that was original and created for the game. If you go with a physical copy, you also get a limited edition poster.

The downside is, this doesn’t mean new content will come to Friday the 13th: The Game. This is just a port of what is there. Due to the legal situation, nothing new can be added to the game. That means no character skins, features, or other DLC. All that can be done is general upkeep to ensure people can keep enjoying this multiplayer horror game as-is.
