Last Battlefield 1 DLC Releasing on March 6 for All

Battlefield 1 is moving into its last expansion that we know of for the time being. Apocalypse has become available to Battlefield 1 Premium Pass and Revolution owners. Everyone else will be able to buy the expansion on its own starting March 6, 2018. Battlefield 1 Apocalypse is of course available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Contained within it are new weapons, assignments, cosmetics, maps, and a brand new game mode.

Let’s start with the basic stuff. New cosmetics you’ll be able to unlock include medals, ribbons, codex entries, and dog tags. These are being added in addition to some new assignments you can enjoy. Players will be able to tackle these new Battlefield 1 assignments with plenty of new weapons. First are the Hansa Brandenburg GI and Airco DH10, two new bombers. Next is a new melee weapon, a meat cleaver of all things. There’s a new gadget, the AA Rocket Gun (useable by the Assault class). And finally there’s the RSC SMG, and a weapon that obliterates enemies with poison gas.

The new game mode being added to Battlefield 1 via Apocalypse is called Air Assault. It will have players fighting high up in the skies. You’ll mostly participate in dogfights, but the potential is there to escalate to massive Airship battles. The two new maps that will be used for Air Assault are London Calling and Razor’s Edge. There are three other standard multiplayer maps in Apocalypse called River Somme, Caporetto, and Passchendaele.
