Although it wasn’t specifically announced during Nintendo’s E3 press conference, Mario Party 9 is in attendance at E3.  Mario Party 9’s E3 trailer shows a few changes to the Mario Party formula. The entire party will journey across the game board together in an oversized station wagon, and players will take turns rolling the dice to travel around the board. In this way, winning the minigames will be more important than ever, as the players all receive the same treatment from the game board. Otherwise, the game features the familiar formula of board-traveling, wacky-multiplayer-minigame mayhem. Minigames showcased in the trailer included dodging falling Thwomps, foot racing, chopping wood, catching inner tubes while swimming, Goomba bowling, dodging Bullet Bills, vegetable harvesting, and more. It will appear on the Nintendo Wii, although it has not yet received a specific release date. |
