Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes – “Night Mission” Trailer and Exclusive Xbox Content

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes – “Night Mission” Trailer and Exclusive Xbox Content

The studio behind the renowned espionage franchise Metal Gear Solid , Kojima Productions, has today released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming prequel to its next-gen counterpart– Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes , as well as another trailer for the company’s announcement of exclusive content for Xbox platforms.

Created in response to the popular question of how the game’s day and night cycle will affect gameplay and stealth, Ground Zeroes’ “Night Mission” demonstrational trailer (which takes place in the opening mission the game was first announced in, Camp Omega) shows you how your experience may drastically change depending on night or day, weather and / or other conditions and situations.

As for the exclusive content, Kojima has announced the “ Jamais Vu ” mission for Xbox players as a throwback to one of Kojima’s earlier games Snatcher . In Jamais Vu , illusive biological beings, called “Snatchers” (who assume direct control of someone’s identity and replaces them), find themselves on the shores near Camp Omega and stir things up a bit by taking on the identities of the guardsman at the camp. To fend off these alien, Kojima throws in its Grey Fox wannabe Raiden to sort things out (because to hell with time paradoxes and shut up and have fun). Instead of making confetti out of his enemies with his incomprehensible sharp HF Blade, Raiden takes on the more traditional approach of using big-ass weaponry to deal with a big-ass problem.

Videos for both these trailers, the Night Mission and Jamais Vu , and be viewed here and here respectively.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is slated to hit the shelves on March 18, 2014 for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and is priced a t $29.99 in stores or $19.99 via download. For the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Ground Zeroes will be priced at $39.99 in stores or $29.99 via download.
