Metal Gear Solid V Has a Save Bug on PS4

Metal Gear Solid V Has a Save Bug on PS4

If you’re playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on a PlayStation 4, there’s a good chance you could encounter a fairly nasty save bug. It turns out systems with multiple accounts may have issues with the game’s save data.

Here’s what happens. If more than one PlayStation Network account is tied to a PS4 and all of those people are playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain , then it could mess up the save file. You could get a message saying, “This save data cannot be used, as the relevant downloadable content was not found.” The game will then refuse to launch on any account.

Konami is aware of the problem. A patch isn’t available, but the company is working on it. In the meantime, Konami suggests people only use one account to play the game to make sure this doesn’t happen.
