Microsoft Teases New Rare Game for E3

Microsoft Teases New Rare Game for E3

Microsoft is promising that the Xbox One will have a strong launch line-up when it releases later this year. It’s first party studios will provide 15 new titles within the first twelve months, including Quantum Break and Forza Motorsport 5. However, the unannounced titles that Microsoft is teasing have fans incredibly hyped, including a brand new title from Rare that will be unveiled at this year’s E3.

The new Rare title will be part of a “historic IP” that Rare has built. “Fans of Rare and Rare IP I think will be pleased with what we’re going to show at E3,” said Microsoft Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer in a statement to Polygon. “We had a limited amount of time today and a lot of story to tell. But Rare remains an incredibly important part of our development capability.” Spencer went on to say that this IP will play an incredibly important role for Xbox One, but he wouldn’t say what the IP is.

Rare has worked on many classic titles that could use a reboot including Banjo-Kazooie, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Killer instinct, Perfect Dark, and… dare we say it… Battletoads!!! Hopefully, Rare and Microsoft will have some serious surprises for us in store at E3 this year.
