Mojang’s Jens Bergensten has recently tweeted a “subtle hint” about brand new features coming to the next Minecraft update. The hint was a bizarre one indeed as it was simply a picture of a horse and its owner petting it. So, of course, we can only speculate that the next Minecraft update will allow us to ride horses, or perhaps craft them out of solid diamond Borderlands 2 style.
In addition to this equestrian update, Jens also stated that Minecraft has sold over ten million copies on the PC alone. This, combined with its sales on the Xbox 360 and mobile platforms, makes it one of the best-selling games of all time! What’s next for the giant of open world crafting games?
Well, Mojang is in talks with Egmont to create a series of Minecraft books… no really.
So pick up your Minecraft manual, get on your horse, and build a diamond suit of armor because Minecraft is going to be around for a while.
