More UMvC3 Changes Revealed

The Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 panel at EVO gave producer Ryota Niitsuma a chance to explain some more character-specific changes in the upcoming game. Here is a list of some of the changes he mentioned:

  • Spider-Man’s webs travel faster.

  • Spider-Man’s special moves can now be canceled into each other.

  • Crawler assault can be mashed for more damage.

  • Every character will have a move that can be mashed for more damage.
  • Doom’s Photon Array can be mashed for more damage.
  • Doom’s mid-air specials now cause knockdown.
  • Doom’s jumping H travels much quicker.
  • Arthur has more health.
  • X-23’s talon attack in the air now has invincible frames.
  • Iron Man can no longer double jump.
  • Captain America can double jump.
  • Iron Man can air-dash cancel his moves.
  • Amaterasu can change weapons in mid air.
  • MODOK can dash cancel his air moves.
  • Hsien-Ko can throw a larger variety of projectiles.
  • Akuma has even less health than before.
  • Chun-Li has a new variation of her Spinning Bird Kick.
  • Felicia can delta kick in the air.
  • Phoenix has even less health!
  • Hulk has a new move with a charge motion.
  • Wesker can speed up if he hits you with his sunglasses (no one is really sure what this means yet).
  • Chris can cancel out of his gun attacks by using other special moves.
  • Shuma can absorb his opponent’s meter.
  • Super-Skrull can meteor smash in mid air.
  • Zero’s buster can cancel out any of his special moves.
  • Sentinel has slightly less health. Very slightly less health.
  • Thor’s command grab has larger range.
  • Dante can triple jump and double air-dash in devil trigger mode.
  • Deadpool can cancel his specials by warping.
  • Dormammu can do all his specials in the air.
  • Trish can attack after a mid-air maximum voltage.
  • Tron’sGustaf Fire is losing it’s invincibility.
  • Tron can execute servbot launcher three times in a row
  • Crouching hard with Haggar causes a knockdown.
  • Morrigan has a fireball that absorbs the opponent’s meter.
  • C. Viper, Spencer, She-Hulk, Magneto, Storm, Wolverine, and Taskmaster all have new moves that were not mentioned by name.


    In addition, leak master Lupinko has recently announced that the final UMvC3 roster may not be final after all. He made it clear that certain fans should not give up hope. Was he referring to Mega Man fans, by any chance?
