NBA 2K18 Patches Out for Switch and Xbox One

NBA 2K18 Patches Out for Switch and Xbox One

NBA 2K18 has been getting regular updates on all of its platforms, except perhaps the Nintendo Switch. It’s been almost a month since patch number five has been available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, but it’s just now being introduced on Nintendo Switch consoles. For Xbox One users, patch six actually just went live yesterday. Seeing as how things are a bit disjointed at the moment, let’s split this up going over what is new for Switch NBA 2K18 users, then the rest of the gaming world.

For Switch players, quite a few big changes have now gone live. The Clippers, Spurs, and Magic uniforms from 2017/18 have been improved for authenticity. The same has been done for the New Orleans Hornets uniforms from 2007/08. In-line with this, player action photos have now been updated to display new uniforms. There was also a fix to custom shoes that were displaying at lower resolution while in-game. Trophies have been fixed in Play Now Online, so the correct trophy should display when you go up a tier. Audio “pops” have also hopefully been fixed for Switch players. And finally, but perhaps most importantly),Nintendo Switch NBA 2K18 players will no longer see white/grey armpit hair in place of players actually armpit hair color.

For Xbox One users, you’re on patch six. Here’s what’s been introduced in this version of NBA 2K18 . Bryan’s text system in MyCAREER has been fixed, he’ll no longer ghost you and there won’t be a hang-up when viewing his texts. Custom created shoes should display in-game as they do when you create them. Playoffs will always advance even during an offline play of MyCAREER. Possibly most importantly, Michael Jordan’s tongue will look more like the real thing. But seriously, a big point of this patch is that trivia will be re-activated in MyCAREER, but only after all platforms receive this patch.

What do you think of these updates? Will they better your experience with NBA 2K18 ? Are you salty about the patches releasing at different times on platforms? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
