Today’s Nintendo Direct broadcast included the announcement of a third round of Pikmin 3 DLC releases. Like previous DLC offerings, this round will include new Mission Mode scenarios that allow players to take on short challenges either solo or in co-op play.
Unlike the two previous rounds, these new missions will take place in brand-new environments such as a beach, a factory, and the inside of a human house during a Christmas party. One mission will allow the player to control Olimar, the star of the first two Pikmin games.
There will be eight total stages available in this round of DLC releases. Four will be “collect treasure” challenges, and four will be “battle enemy” challenges. They will be released on December 2. Players who update their Pikmin game will receive two “Fortress of Festivity” stages for free.
