Next-Gen Demo Video Leaked

Next-Gen Demo Video Leaked

Warhorse Studios recently made hour-long presentation to a small Czech gaming conference held in Prague. In it, the studio shows off some new graphics technology, specifically a modified version of CryEngine 3 that will apparently fuel a new RPG project. Video of the presentation has popped up on the Internet, and shows off a bit of the power that will be behind the next generation of graphic engines. Even though the video is a bit shaky, the demo still looks incredibly impressive.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this new graphics technology is that it isn’t using any new hardware. The demo was shown on a two year old laptop with a mobile GeForce 55M graphics card. Warhorse Creative Director Dan Vavra said “[It’s] “Not exactly state-of-the-art PC or next gen Xbox.” It’s all stuff that can be done on current generation technology. The final lighting and effects haven’t even been implemented yet. Even though Warhorse’s new RPG is set to run on next generation consoles, this tech hasn’t even cracked the surface of what next generation technology is capable of.

We will bring you more information on Warhorse Studio’s newest RPG project as it becomes available. Be on the lookout for more great things form Warhorse’s new graphics engine in the future.
