Operation Raccoon City Gets DLC Treatment

Operation Raccoon City Gets DLC Treatment

None

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City doesn’t even hit the shelves until next week, but Capcom is already announcing their first round of DLC plans; three weeks after the game touches down in the U.S., the publisher plans to drop a free U.S. Spec Ops mission.

This new pack puts players in the role of a special ops agent tasked with uncovering the secrets of the Resident Evil 2 virus outbreak. “Players will enter Raccoon City as a member of a Spec Ops team deployed to determine the source of the deadly virus outbreak,” says Capcom. “On a battlefield that can only exist within the terrifying Resident Evil universe, players will need to fight off the opposing team members from the Umbrella Security Service (U.S.S.) as well as zombies and B.O.W.’s to succeed in their mission.”

The developer also mentioned that fans will be re-visiting the moment when Jill Valentine encounters the Nemesis. If that doesn’t get you motivated, I’m not sure anything will.

The Raccoon City DLC is heading to the PS3 and 360 on April 10th, but there’s no word on when it will eventually be available for PC gamers. Sorry, guys.
