I think we can officially say Rockstar Games should be very proud of Grand Theft Auto V. More sales figures have come in for the multiplatform game and, as you can guess, the news is quite good. Turns out over 54 million copies of the game have been sold across all platforms. Not too bad at all.
Passing 54 million sold isn’t all that surprising for GTA V. If you’ll recall, the game sold over 11.21 million copies the first day it was released on consoles, back on September 17, 2013. Considering that it’s also now available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, maybe it’s even at a point where it should have sold 60 million?
What’s important is that GTA V is great, people realized it’s great and bought it, and Rockstar Games earned the accolades its receiving.
