Ok, first things first: The Xbox Engineering team has decided to shake things up a little bit in the way that they announce and release new backward compatible titles for the Xbox One. From the Xbox Wire: “Starting today, we’ll release titles as they become available, rather than a set monthly launch date. What this means for you is that you won’t have to wait to find out the latest titles; we’ll release whatever is available, when they’re available, once each title has received the engineering and publisher stamp of approval.” This is probably better for Microsoft in the long run, as it will encourage Xbox owners to power on their consoles more frequently to check for surprises. Today, ten new titles were released, including Soul Calibur, Counter-Strike: GO, Skullgirls, and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
