PSVR to Launch With 32 Games

PSVR to Launch With 32 Games

One of the big worries at every VR headset launch is whether there will actually be interesting things to do with it. Core gamers, especially, are looking for actual games over VR “experiences.” Well, today Sony posted a big ol’ list of titles that will be available at or close to launch on the PlayStation VR, and it’s pretty impressive. Most of them look like actual games, albeit with a number of mini-game collections amongst them. There seems to be something for just about everybody here, from adventure titles like Looking Human to shooters like RIGS Mechanized Combat League to… dystopian future soccer trainers? Yep, that’s what Headmaster appears to be. All in all, there are 32 titles that will be available when the PSVR launches on October 13. That’s just next week, y’all.

More titles are on the way, as well. Ubisoft’s stable of titles like Eagle Flight and Star Trek: Bridge Crew are scheduled to be released before the end of the year. So is Robinson: The Journey , my most anticipated title because it combines science fiction with dinosaurs. That’s like video game chocolate and peanut butter!

I’m not quite ready to jump into VR, but this set of titles has me watching it just a bit more closely. How about you? Are you planning to pick up a PSVR before the holidays? Which games are you most interested in?
