Rainbow Moon’s Battle System Detailed

None

The Official U.S. PlayStation Blog recently revealed some more information about from SideQuest’s new hybrid strategy/classic RPG, Rainbow Moon.

Though the game plays out like a traditional RPG, with characters roaming expansive maps completing quests and getting into fights, battles play out in tactical RPG style. After an encounter is triggered, either randomly or by contacting an opponent on the map, your party is transported to a grid-like map. You will be asked to move and position yourself around the enemy foes during battle, attacking their weak points and using skills to exploit their weaknesses. It’s like each battle is a miniature tactical RPG in itself.

“I will not go into all the details,” Marcus Pukropski of SideQuest Studios said, “but I can promise you there’s a lot more than meets the eye. You will find different deployment grids, a wide variety of status conditions (poison and enchantments), weapon affinities, a BIAS system, passive skills, skill levels, speed bonus system, and so on.”

This information came with a brand new trailer for the game that showed off some never-before-seen gameplay. The game will drop on the PSN in just a few weeks, so keep an eye on it.
