Rayman Origins Is Coming to PC for Free

Rayman Origins Is Coming to PC for Free

I bet you forgot about this promotion again, didn’t you? Ubisoft is still celebrating its 30th birthday by offering a new, free game every month. The celebration kicked off with Prince of Persia: Sands of Time , which was followed last month by Splinter Cell . The latter game is still available, but you’ll have to log into Uplay and pick it up there. If you plan on doing that, you should act soon.

On August 17, Splinter Cell will be replaced by Rayman Origins , which will be available on Uplay for free for a month. Of the games given away so far, Rayman Origins is definitely the most exciting. Even though the game came out in 2011, it’s still one of the best platformers out there, and one of the best-looking. Origins was the first game to utilize Ubisoft’s new proprietary 2.5D engine UbiArt. The engine is superbly optimized for HD resolutions and UbiArt games always look and run incredibly on any platform. Later Rayman games as well games like Child of Light and Valiant Hearts use the engine as well. Anyway, the bottom line is it looks fantastic and is a blast to play. It’s worth at least $10, so you have no excuse not to pick it up for free August 17.
