Resident Evil 4 is an awesome game. It was awesome when it came out on the Game Cube back in 2005. It was still awesome when it came out later that year on PS2. We proved we still loved the game when we scooped it up on the Wii and on Windows in 2007. In 2010, 2011, and 2013 Capcom apparently continued making money off of Resident Evil 4 as it was released on iOS, PS3, Xbox 360, and Android. You’d think Capcom would have moved on by now, but they’re not done milking this game yet, folks.
Resident Evil 4 is coming again, this time to your PS4s and Xbox Ones. There’s nothing too exciting to look forward to in this version, really. If you’ve played the Wii version or any of the following ports, you’ve seen it all. The PS4 and Xbox One will feature “upgraded visuals,” of course, but don’t expect anything too shiny. Expect to see it in retail and digital storefronts on August 30.
