Keiji Inafune, the chief of Capcom’s Research and Development, shared in an interview with Xbox360ism that Resident Evil is expected to be released simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
“We want to grow the Resident Evil series into a multi-platform franchise, so we hope to release it simultaneously,” he stated. “But since we don’t know the launch period for the PS3 yet, it’s hard to say.”
Inafune also said that RE5 will feature online elements. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
