A post by James Stevenson on the PlayStation Blog today reveals that Resistance 3—the next entry in the critically acclaimed Resistance series from Insomniac—has gone gold and entered production. Work, says Stevenson, continues on the online beta and a launch day patch that will be informed by said beta. Perhaps less exciting, but still neat, is the news that the Resistance 3 disc will include some bonuses, previously unannounced. They have to fill those 50 gigabytes with something, right? The extras include playable demos for Killzone 3, MotorStorm Apocalypse and inFAMOUS 2, as well as trailers and developer videos for Uncharted 3, Starhawk, God of War: Origins, and SOCOM 4. If you’re interested in entertainment beyond video games, there will also be movie trailers and music videos from Sony Pictures and Sony Music-produced films and artists.
