Yesterday, Major Nelson confirmed on Twitter that Shovel Knight is finally coming to the Xbox One next week. This news came shortly after he made the mistake of saying that the game would be out on Microsoft’s all-in-one console this week.
Shovel Knight is a popular 2D side-scrolling platform game created and released by Yacht Club Games last year. The game launched on PS4, Vita, and PS3 earlier today. Fans who decide to buy the game on PlayStation consoles will get to encounter Kratos, while Xbox One owners can look forward to an appearance by the Battletoads .
Microsoft’s decision to fast track this release so it’s not that far behind Sony’s was definitely a smart thing to do. Regardless of platform, Shovel Knight is still a fun game that everybody should check out.
