Silent Hill Lurches Onto PlayStation 3, Vita

Silent Hill Lurches Onto PlayStation 3, Vita

None

Last week, we uncovered the existence of a Silent Hill HD collection alongside the more heavily detailed Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders HD compilations. Today, word from Konami has it that Silent Hill’s next-gen facelift will touch on Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, introducing all new voice acting and trophy support in addition to the graphical update, and, unlike Konami’s other two high definition remasters, will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 3.

Furthermore, for those Silent Hill fans who’ve turned their hopeful attention to Sony’s new handheld, the PlayStation Vita, Konami has good news. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a brand new title in development for the portable powerhouse, featuring an original storyline, though also promising the return of familiar creatures. The title will be scored by Daniel Licht and introduce the long-running horror series to the world of co-operative multiplayer.

While Book of Memories has no announced release window, the PlayStation 3’s Silent Hill HD collection will be available this fall.
