Skull and Bones Will Have Something for Lone Wolves Too

Skull and Bones Will Have Something for Lone Wolves Too

Of all the games revealed at E3, the one that had the most mystery around it was Skull and Bones . Anything that has to do with pirates immediately has my attention, as I’m sure is true for many, many others. Skull and Bones introduced competitive multiplayer on the high seas that had fans aching for more pirate-y action. There were major concerns over whether the game would just be multiplayer or if it would have some sort of single-player campaign as well. As it turns out, Ubisoft was just waiting for the right time to talk about that.

It’s been confirmed that Skull and Bones will in fact have a narrative. According to a representative from Ubisoft, the game will have a single-player campaign integrated into the rest of it. It will not be separate from the multiplayer experience.

This is an interesting concept and could be wonderful if executed correctly. Image fighting against other pirate ships with your friends, and then breaking off for a little while to do some exploring on your own. It reminds me of The Elder Scrolls Online . It’s great fun when you have a friend to go exploring with, but you don’t have to be entirely reliant on someone else to enjoy the game.

Skull and Bones will have more information on the single-player experience at a later date. And apparently what was shown at E3 is just the beginning of what the game will have to offer. It will release some time next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, so keep an eye out for more news as time goes on.
