Sony Reveals More Arkham Knight Gameplay

Welcome to CheatCC’s continuing day one coverage of E3 2014. We’ll be monitoring all the info coming from today’s conferences, and bring you the latest right from the convention floor in real-time!

I’m happy to say that Sony’s conference touched on virtually every single area I hoped they would, and then some!

Close to the end, we were treated to all new Arkham Knight gameplay. In it, we get our first glimpse of what a next-gen Gotham will look like up close. It’s immediately apparent that the final game in the franchise is getting a HUGE boost in the visuals department (thanks to additional horse power provided by the new consoles).

However, as impressive as the beefed up graphics were, they took a back seat to the new Batmboile. In the footage, the new vehicle barrels through the streets of Gotham like a tank. At one point, it felt as if this were a GTA expansion (as the sense of speed and weight of the vehicle meshed perfectly). Battle Mode of course made another appearance, but what struck me was how seamless the ejection process worked. When initiated, it launches Batman like a rocket into the sky. It’s so smooth, you can go from driving down an alley way to perching yourself high atop a catwalk (in order to surprise a thug) in seconds. The Scarecrow also hi-jacks the footage at the end, which could be the freakiest iteration of his character ever!

Stay tuned, as this new footage will be available on CheatCC very soon!
