Sony Shutting Down Servers for Multiple PS3 Games

Sony Shutting Down Servers for Multiple PS3 Games

All good things must come to an end, because it’s expensive to keep things running and that eventually outpaces the money coming in. Thus, it will soon be time to say goodbye to a few PS3 games. Well, to be specific, to their online modes.

This time, three games are being closed down, as far as their online functions are concerned. These games are Twisted Metal , Warhawk , and PlayStation All-Stars . Each of these games are losing their server support on October 25, 2018.

In this case, the biggest causality is Warhawk , which is for the most part an online-only game. However, if you’re one of the remaining Warhawk fans and have friends you can play with locally, it’s still possible to put the PS3 on LAN mode and play that way. Otherwise, PlayStation All-Stars and Twisted Metal both have modes allowing offline play.

This also applies to PlayStation All-Stars on the Vita. No more online for handheld gamers either!
