SoulCalibur V Getting Massive Update

SoulCalibur V Getting Massive Update

None

SoulCalibur V has only been out for about a month and it’s already getting a massive update. The new patch, which the game will receive on March 21, will seriously tweak the battle system. It will balance the moves for all characters in the game. No character will be untouched, and there are more than 240 balance changes coming in this patch. Some pro gamers are upset that they will have to learn their characters all over again, but NAMCO Bandai promises that this patch will make the game more balanced and tournament worthy.

Another update will be coming on April 3rd, which will primarily deal with the character customization system. The patch will add brand new customization parts and options for you to fool around with. Some of these include costumes from previous SoulCalibur games, specifically costumes that we saw in SoulCalibur III. There also seems to be costume parts from Tekken, as two characters that look like Jin and King. Oddly enough, King seems to have his animations from Tekken as well, so we may in fact be getting more create-a-characters move-sets too.

Complete patch notes can be found here.
