The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt just got cooler (no pun intended), and CD PROJEKT RED just proved, once again, that they really do know what gamers want. If you’re a modder who spends any time contributing to the NexusMods community, there’s a contest that you’ll definitely want to check out. The Witcher crew has teamed up with NexusMods to put on the “Holiday Outfit Mod Contest.” Here’s the deal: you create a festive, holiday outfit for your favorite character, and you could win something cool and dangerous. From the contest page:
“Basically all you have to do is create an outfit or holiday element for any one of the characters in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt ! It can be an epic armor for Geralt, a Christmas hat for Johnny, or candy canes for Nekkers! Once you have your mod ready, just upload it to Nexus Mods with “Witcher Mod Contest” tag, available under the “file admin”, and contact us via the contact form below. Please include the link to your Mod — submissions without a link will be invalid.” What’s the prize, you ask? A freaking custom-made Witcher sword. This isn’t a dull lump of metal, this is a real, sharp, don’t-fall-on-it sword. The contest page, which you’ll find here , admonishes contest participants to check local laws in regard to shipping and receiving sharp objects. Awesome .
