The 2016 Summer Olympic Games are almost here! The opening ceremony will kick things off this Friday, and Blizzard is getting into the spirit with some neat Overwatch content. Blizzard hasn’t officially announced anything yet, but some hawks over at NeoGAF spotted and screen-cap’d a premature posting for “Summer Games Loot Boxes” on the European PSN Store. Apparently some Twitch streamers also received some promotional materials for the impending celebration, which were promptly leaked.
Pictures show every character decked out in athletic regalia, participating in their respective sports (BMX Reaper is hilarious), but so far it appears that only Tracer, Lucio, and Zarya will be getting usable skins. When the update goes live, according to the listing, each loot box will contain “four items, at least one of which is guaranteed to be a Summer Games skin, spray, highlight intro, emote, victory pose, player icon, or voice-line.” There are over 90 Summer Games items to collect, so don’t expect to catch ’em all (unless you plan to level up 100+ times or spend tons of money). The Summer Games loot boxes will be unlockable until August 22.
