Super Batter Up Cheats & Cheat Codes for Super Nintendo

Super Batter Up Cheats & Cheat Codes for Super Nintendo

Super Batter Up is a baseball video game developed by Namco. Known as Super Famista in Japan, the game was released for the Super Nintendo on March 27, 1992. It came to North America in October of the same year. The North American release has an official license from the Major League Baseball Players Association and features the names of professional baseball players of the time. Since it doesn’t have a license from Major League Baseball, no actual team names are used. In Japan, the game topped sales charts from April to May of its release year and was criticized for being average.

The Premise Of Super Batter Up

While the game may be considered average, it has a solid control scheme. You pick a team that represents one of the 26 Major League Baseball teams and their players from the 1991 Major League Baseball season. The Japanese version featured teams and players from the Nippon Professional Baseball League and brings the team count down to 14. Players can play in a dome reminiscent of the Tokyo Dome or the SkyDome in Toronto. If you win a single-player tournament, you can see the ending of the game. The game has a single-player, a multiplayer, and a league mode respectively. The Japanese version uses different graphics from the North American release. Passwords can also be used to restore progress in the game.
