The Xbox One’s NESbox Emulator Is Back

The Xbox One’s NESbox Emulator Is Back

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. The NESbox Xbox One emulator lives on, though not in the exact way it was originally intended. It is now a browser-based emulator with One Drive support that Xbox One owners can access by visiting an Itch.io page in the Edge browser.

Running games is easy. You upload .bin, .gb, .gbc, .gba, .gen, .nes, .smc, and/or .smd games to your One Drive. You then bring up the NESbox page on your Xbox One. You can then play the NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games. Both standard and full screen options are available.

In other good news, the NESbox emulator is back on the Windows Store as well. It was temporarily delisted due to its Xbox One support. That’s been removed and you can grab this free download.
