Thief Sneaking Its Way into Theaters

Thief Sneaking Its Way into Theaters

Another video game series is getting a movie. Hope you have fond memories of the Thief series, because Square Enix sold the film rights. Straight Up Films, most recently known for Transcendence, Away from Here , and Jane Got a Gun , will be making the movie.

Lots of people have already been attached to the project. The Thief screenplay will be written by Simon Boyes and Adam Mason, who wrote Broken , Junkie, Not Safe for Work, Hangman, and the forthcoming Misconduct. Sandra Condito ( Grindhouse, Planet Terror ) from Straight Up and Khalid Jones of Square Enix and Source Rock will be executive producing the film. Finally, there are four producers, Marisa Polvino and Kate Cohen from Straight Up, Adrian Askarieh from Prime Universe, and Roy Lee from Vertigo Entertainment. There are a lot of cooks in this kitchen!

There’s no release window for the Thief movie yet. It’ll supposedly be about a thief trying to save people from a villainous foe that uses magic to subjugate them. Here’s hoping it goes better than Hitman: Agent 47 .
