Titanfall Has a Ludicrously Large Install Size

Titanfall Has a Ludicrously Large Install Size

It seems like modern day shooters are attempting to have a war over the biggest install size. Battlefield 4 took 33GB of data to install and Call of Duty: Ghosts took 39GB. However, Titanfall looks like it’s going to beat all of them with a whopping 40GB install, as revealed with the recently announced Titanfall Bundle.

Game size is beginning to become slightly problematic. Gamers are becoming more and more dependant on digital distribution and when games get this large it becomes quite difficult to keep multiple games on a system at once. Most next-gen systems have 500GB of install space, but even not counting the OS, all three of these games would take up 1123 GB. That’s more than a fifth of a harddrive and we are only a few months into this generation of games.

Titanfall will be an online only game for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. It is unclear whether or not it will take up the same amount of space on all platforms.
