Treyarch Announces Two Free Weekend Goodies for Call of Duty: World at War

None

Players who log into Call of Duty: World at War this weekend will be treated to a multiplayer mini-patch, immediate access to Nazi Zombies (if you haven’t already beaten the game via single-player), and double XP (starting today, January 16, 2009 @ 10:00 AM PST).

Below is the official posting from the Call of Duty HQ:

In celebration of the outstanding online success of Call of Duty: World at War, we are pleased to present the community with two gifts this weekend!

First, because of the huge popularity of the Nazi Zombies game mode, we’re unlocking the Nazi Zombies Co-Op playlist for Xbox LIVE and PSN public games. Even if you haven’t completed the Solo campaign, you can now play Nazi Zombies online right away!

Second, this is a Double-XP MP weekend. Everyone will be eligible for Double-XP starting Friday, January 16, 2009 @ 10:00AM PST!

This update also includes “hot fixes” for a number of competitive multiplayer issues that have been reported. Stay tuned to the forums for news about the upcoming full patch/title update.
