Ubisoft Launches Uplay PC Service

Ubisoft Launches Uplay PC Service

Ubisoft has announced the launch of its new PC gaming client, Uplay PC, through which the publisher will offer a digital shop for various Ubisoft titles, social features, and a universal game launcher, among other services.

The digital distribution platform is up and running right now, and will work along the same lines as Steam and EA’s Origin.

To stir up initial interest, Ubisoft has also revealed that they will be offering one $1 PC game download a day for a limited time. Today it’s From Dust, while the next couple of days will see Driver: San Francisco and Silent Hunter 5’s prices cheapened.

In addition, other Ubisoft games like Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction are being sold at a 75% discount for the time being.
