Yesterday, we reported that a leaked trophy list for the PlayStation 3 version of Batman: Arkham City included some DLC trophies that revealed the presence of Nightwing as a playable character. Today, we’re seeing him for ourselves. Behold, the first publicly released renders of Arkham City developer Rocksteady’s interpretation of the black-and-blue super-hero. Taken from the alpha version of the game, these shots don’t feature all of the graphical touch-ups that will be in the final release, but Nightwing’s design certainly seems complete, and striking. Black armored suit, accented in cobalt blue, it has that utilitarian appearance the Rocksteady Batman games have adopted, less of the skin-hugging tights. Grayson’s hair, though… I thought Bruce Wayne was the gloomy one. Despite Nightwing’s borderline emover and grizzled grimace, it’s still exciting to see one of the most oft-forgotten DC characters brought to bear in what is, almost inarguably, the best super-hero video game series of all time.
