Halo 5’ s free Warzone Firefight expansion was a big deal. It added a whole new gameplay mode, called Warzone Firefight if you can believe it, and added a ton of new maps, equipment, Forge tools, and other good things. It also was Halo 5’ s last monthly update. 343 Industries confirmed it. But, don’t be sad. This isn’t the end, my friends.
While we won’t see major Halo 5 updates every month, 343 Industries has promised there will be more content released for the game. The Halo Waypoint update says, “While you won’t be seeing updates every month moving forward, nor updates the size of the Warzone Firefight release, we’re happy to let you know that there’s still more on the way.” Exact details weren’t announced. However, it is working on updates for Warzone Firefight and Tidal lighting.
343 Industries also had an update on Halo 5’ s PC Forge Tools and content browser. Both are being built from scratch, so they aren’t ports of things designed for the Xbox One. Also, the Forge won’t need Xbox Live Gold.
Sounds like Halo 5 continues to be a very good investment for Xbox One owners!
