World of Warcraft is Faltering, but StarCraft II’s Still Selling Well

Wondering how StarCraft II’ s Legacy of the Void expansion did? It’s a valid question, considering it launched on the same day as Fallout 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider . Not to mention, World of Warcraft keeps losing subscribers. Fortunately, Blizzard did well with this one. Over a million copies of the expansion were sold in a single day.

The good news is, the hype could end up continuing for Legacy of the Void . Blizzard confirmed it is going to continue to support StarCraft II fans who grabbed this expansion with additional free updates when talking to GameSpot . Nova Covert Ops will give people who enjoy the single player experience more missions to enjoy.

Legacy of the Void rounds out the StarCraft II experience by covering the Protoss side of the story. Previous expansions went over the human and Zerg storylines. In the meantime, hold out hope that a StarCraft III could happen, since Blizzard has already said it would be willing to continue the series.
