Successfully complete the indicated task to unlock the corresponding location:
- Amusement Park: Have an islander confess his or her love.
- Cafe: Have an islander confess his or her love.
- Campground: Send a traveler from your island; or have a traveler visit and camp on your island.
- Clothing Store: Have more than one male and one female islander, and solve five problems.
- Compatibility Tester: Have two male and two female islanders, and solve thirty problems.
- Concert Hall: Give a song to an islander who has leveled up.
- Fountain: Have a Mii talk about helping the community.
- Hat Shop: Have two male and two female islanders, and solve ten problems
- Import Wear Shop: Communicate via StreetPass; or receive an import item via SpotPass.
- Interiors Shop: Save over $200.
- Mii Apartments: Create a Mii in Tomodachi Life.
- Mii Homes: Celebrate an islander wedding.
- Nintendo 3DS Image Share: Take a photo of a Mii’s apartment using X or Y.
- Observation Tower: Give a gift to an islander who has leveled up.
- Park: Have an islander confess his or her love.
- Pawn Shop: Collect five different treasures.
- Photo Studio: Have ten or more islanders, and solve fifty problems.
- Port: Activate StreetPass.
- Rankings Board: Have five or more islanders, and solve fifteen problems.
Extra clothes for Mii
Have a Mii reach Level 20 to give them any item of clothing in your collection.
Extra hats for Mii
Have a Mii reach Level 20 to give them any hat in your collection.
Group performances at Concert Hall
Have at least two Miis learn the same song style.
Family portraits
Once a couple has married and produced a child, you will unlock an option to take children and family portraits in the Photo Studio.
Family Album
Have a child grow up to travel the world or let them live on the island to unlock the Family Album.

Miis dislike competitors
Play “Quirky Questions” at the Observation Tower. When you have the chance to fill in the blank to the question “Who likes ____?”, enter “Sony” or “Microsoft”. None of the Miis will raise their hands.

Give your Mii a Wii U as a gift to occasionally see him or her playing the ninja mini-game from Nintendo Land .
Tomodachi Life reference
Give your Mii a 3DS as a gift to occasionally see him or her playing Tomodachi Life on their 3DS.
