Before Take-Two Interactive picked up 2K Boston, the studio was known as Irrational Games. In those days, Irrational had only kicked out a handful of titles including Freedom Force and SWAT 4. Of course, since their release of BioShock in 2007, a lot more is expected of the studio nowadays. Today, GameInformer reports that 2K Boston is reverting back its old moniker. Whether this bodes anything significant for the future of the studio is unknown. What is apparent is that something’s afoot, as the Irrational Games webpage currently displays a countdown timer (less than 24 hours remain). We’ll let you know if anything comes of it.
